GUARDIANS OF A REDISCOVERED LAND
Half-way between Florence and Siena, in the “golden hollow” of Panzano, Chianti, situated in the heart of a natural amphitheatre, lies Carobbio. It stretches over about fifty hectares amidst ancient vineyards, olive groves and luxuriant woods. It was summer 1985 when Carlo Novarese felt that he had found a small corner of Eden, near the Carobbio estate, in the heart of Chianti. It promised to be a land of everlasting splendour, if the potential of the site were reawakened. Hence the birth of Carobbio. Carlo Novarese provided his insight as an entrepreneur, with a focus on achieving excellence. For this has always been the distinguishing trait of his reputation in the business. Experts in agricultural science set to work.
